Social Fundraising Websites---Fundly.com

The next site to take a look at is Fundly.com

Here is their intro video

Now their main page.

Here is how you search for a cause to support. From what I can tell it is entirely key word search driven.

Once you click on a project you want to get involved in the project page pops up.

Here is the second half of the project page.
If you want to create your own project you go back out to their main page and then click on create a campaign.

First pop up.

Second screen.

Project page has now been created. Here is a sample

Here is the CEO describing what they are attempting to do.

Here are more of their tutorial videos.

Social Fundraising Websites---Rally.org

I have started a search online for some of the best fundraising websites. I want to record what I am finding here.

The next website is called Rally found at www.rally.org
Here is their main page.

I used Facebook to sign up.

Standard permissions are requested to login using Facebook

One last permissions page

And there it is you are all signed up.

Once you have signed up you can customize your fundraising pages. Here are a series of videos and then some screen shots.

Now for the screen shots

Social Giving Websites--gofundme.com

I have started a search online for some of the best fundraising websites. I want to record what I am finding here.

www.gofundme.com

Here is an intro video to how it works.

The following are some screen shots of the different parts of the site.

Here is the main landing page

This is the search feature. You can see that is both "key word" and "cause based".

Here are the results of a search when I clicked on "Medical" as a cause. You can see that it returns all the projects that are tagged "medical".

Here is the project page top half. You can see a description of the project with supported media. You can see they show who is getting the funds and who is raising the funds. There are also several sharing features provided to the fundraising donor. Totals are also tracked and displayed.

This is the project page bottom half. You can see they display both donations and comments around a funding project

Here is a finished fundraising page that I created. The following are steps to create a page

And that is it. Seems like a decent site. It was fairly simple to get up and running.

Donor Survey's

Once of the first tasks we are tackling is a survey of donors. We are trying to get a gauge on where we are currently and hopefully also understand where donors would like us to be. I posted to ADRP and received the following sample questions.

Why This Blog

I have created this blog as a location to place ideas on Stewardship. With the creation of a new department at LDS Philanthropies we are calling "Donor Engagement" and my placement at its head I am looking for a nice location to stash ideas.
